Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY, following the player's avatar "figma Fluted Armor", today announced the second action figure product from the fully remade action RPG "Demon's Souls" on the PS5 platform: "figma Black Maiden", scheduled for release in November 2023.
In "Demon's Souls", after the player is first slain by a specific enemy, the heroine, the Black Maiden, summons the player to the majestic and grand Nexus, which also serves as the central hub for players to travel to various locations. The mysterious Fire Keeper is an immortal being imprisoned within this temple, guiding players in their pursuit of the power of demon souls, allowing them to enhance their abilities through leveling up.
The "figma Black Maiden" is based on the high-resolution sculpt from the remake's new model, meticulously recreating every metallic ornament and the dress design that appears to be wrapped in countless black bandages. The hem of the cloak is made of real fabric, and the facial expression parts are produced using 3D painting technology, significantly restoring the realistic in-game appearance.
The entire figure utilizes figma's original joint parts to provide flexible yet secure articulation, though this is limited to the upper body. The lower body, due to the skirt parts not having articulated divisions, allows the legs to only move within the confines of the skirt. However, the accessories include two different sitting pose parts, which, combined with the fabric cloak, can recreate her charming sitting pose from the game. Other accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands and a torch. Orders placed through the GOODSMILE Online Shop will also receive a limited bonus "L-size figma stand" featuring a magic circle print.
