Kotobukiya, a Japanese toy company, recently announced the release of two new products from its assembly model accessory series, "M.S.G," developed for all modelers: "Mechanical Supply 26 Ex-Armor E Gray Ver." and "Mechanical Supply 27 Ex-Armor E Black Ver.," both scheduled for April 2023.
"M.S.G Mechanical Supply Ex-Armor E" is an expansion armor featuring a unique skirt design. It consists of 8 armor plates and numerous connecting parts, with transparent parts used for the skirt to convey a sense of lightness. When used with most of Kotobukiya's Bishoujo plastic model kits, such as Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device, and Sousai Shojo Teien, it can fully cover the lower body. The common 3mm joint allows each armor plate to expand forward or to the side, maintaining the range of motion for the legs.
This year, two new color versions are being re-released: a gray version with transparent blue parts and a black version with transparent red parts, to match a wider variety of model color schemes. In addition to their high compatibility with Bishoujo plastic model kits, the common 3mm connecting parts also allow them to be used with robot products like HEXA GEAR and Frame Arms, enabling imaginative customization into additional armor, weapons, and various other parts!
