International collectible manufacturer PURE ARTS' "Art Mask" series recently unveiled its latest product from "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King": the "Mouth of Sauron" 1:1 scale statue! It is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2024.
In "The Lord of the Rings" film series, the "Mouth of Sauron" only made a brief appearance in the extended edition of "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," but his chilling and bizarre appearance has given him considerable popularity among villains. When Aragorn, Gandalf, Éomer, and their company led a great army to the Black Gate, intending to draw the attention of Mordor's forces and thereby increase Frodo and Sam's chances of reaching "Mount Doom," the Mouth of Sauron appeared. He held Frodo's Mithril shirt, which should have been worn by the Hobbit, and continuously spoke of how they tortured the small hobbit, aiming to demoralize the human forces. He also heavily ridiculed Gandalf and Aragorn, before ultimately being decapitated by Aragorn.
This piece stands at 65 cm tall, faithfully recreating the "Mouth of Sauron's" aggressive helmet design and his lower face, which is covered in decaying wounds and rotten teeth. The helmet is intricately sculpted with dark inscriptions, realistically capturing the heavy metallic texture and forged surface patterns. The exterior is further adorned with real black fabric. The lower face masterfully portrays the Mouth of Sauron's most terrifying features, with yellowish, even blackened, tooth roots and deep, dark red wounds that are truly gruesome! The base is designed with the spired structure of the Black Gate as its theme and features an LED light-up function (requires three AA batteries). The exclusive edition will also include an additional necklace accessory.
