BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan, known for its most diverse lineup of 1/144 scale Gunpla, the 'HG (High Grade)' series, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam MSD": the "HG 1/144 GM (Moroccan Front Specifications)", scheduled for release in June 2023. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The RGM-79 GM is a mass-produced mobile suit developed from the actual combat data of the RX-78-02 Gundam. It focuses on simplifying the machine's structure and reducing construction costs to improve productivity. While its performance is inferior to the Gundam, its advantages lie in rapid and mass production, relatively easy operation, and high versatility, allowing for modifications based on pilot or mission requirements. This Moroccan Front Specifications version appears in the town of Casablanca in the movie "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island". Compared to the commonly seen GM, it features a unique orange-gray paint scheme, but its specifications and performance are otherwise identical.
The "HG 1/144 GM (Moroccan Front Specifications)" is a modification based on the previously released GM (Slegg's Unit). The entire model has been re-sculpted using the latest technology, featuring high-density detailed molding and flexible articulation. The side of the head and the cockpit hatch are made with new parts, reproducing a different design from Slegg's unit.
Weapon accessories include a shoulder cannon, beam spray gun (early type), beam rifle, beam saber, shield, weapon-holding hands, and open hands. Combined with the flexible articulated joints, you can recreate cool combat poses. Also included are newly designed water-slide decals with various numbers and unit markings, allowing for even richer detailed customization of the GM.
