Released by the HOBBY Division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. Japan, the Gunpla 'RG (Real Grade)' series, which incorporates internal frames, interlocking armor, and new technologies into the 1/144 scale, today announced its latest product, "MSN-04FF Sazabi," with news that it will be successively released starting April 22, 2023, at official Bandai channels such as Fukuoka GUNDAM SIDE-F, GUNDAM BASE, PREMIUM BANDAI...
The MSN-04FF Sazabi is a mobile suit that appeared in the special video performance shown on-site during the completion of the Fukuoka "RX-93ff ν Gundam" life-sized statue. Like the RX-93ff ν Gundam, it is based on designs from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," with the addition of a brand-new original armament not seen in the anime, the "Double Horn Funnel." These large funnels, resembling crab claws, are normally mounted on the backpack and can be remotely controlled to fire beam cannons individually, combine to fire a massive beam cannon, or be held in both hands as large beam sabers.
The "RG 1/144 MSN-04FF Sazabi" is a modification based on the previously released standard kit, and more accurately recreates the image from the special video through new part molding colors and Realistic Decals. Of course, it also retains the highly praised features of the kit, such as its articulated joints, hydraulic cylinders, thrusters, and other precise internal frame details, as well as its exterior armor deployment mechanism.
However, the most anticipated feature is the brand-new original armament, the "Double Horn Funnel," produced with new parts. It can be mounted on both sides of the backpack, just like in the video, and features a barrel deployment mechanism for firing mode, a combined flight form for the two cannons, and even includes large beam effect parts to recreate its large beam saber form when held in both hands, allowing for display with the included clear stand!
Other armaments include a beam shotgun, shield, beam tomahawk, and beam saber. Furthermore, the accessories also include beam saber effect parts for the separately sold "RG 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam," allowing for the recreation of the scene from the special video where the two mobile suits clash!
