Following the completion of 17 Heisei main Kamen Riders, the highly popular character model kit series『Figure-rise Standard』, released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, recently announced its 18th installment, "Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed", scheduled for release in September 2023.
The『Kamen Rider Drive』being released this time is the Kamen Rider transformed by the detective protagonistShinnosuke Tomariusing the Drive Driver and Shift Brace. Its basic form, Type Speed, incorporates sports car aesthetics and possesses high-speed mobility. It boasts numerous cool mechanical details and an interesting design with a tire slung across its body. Furthermore, it can utilize various "Shift Cars" to change forms and effects, combating the mechanical lifeforms "Roidmudes" that cause the "Heavy Acceleration" phenomenon and endanger human society.
The "Figure-rise Standard Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed" kit is composed of mirror red, mirror black, metallic silver, and various clear parts. Upon completion, a wealth of intricate mechanical structures can be observed from the head and the back of the torso. The silver parts undergo EXTRA FINISH processing to achieve a brilliant metallic luster, while the clear compound eye parts are crafted using the new "REFLECTION CUT" technology to enhance reflective effects. Together, these elements recreate the compound eye appearance closely resembling that in the show. The headlight covers on the back of the head and both shoulders are also made with orange clear parts, and the tire parts on the body are completely de-glossed to express a rubber texture.
Weapon accessories include a dedicated display stand, the transformation belt "Drive Driver", "Shift Brace", four types of "Shift Cars", main weapons "Handle-Ken" (Steering Wheel Sword) and "Door-Ju" (Door Gun), and various interchangeable hand parts. Although four types of Shift Cars are included, only the "Shift Speed" Shift Car can be loaded into the Shift Brace, Handle-Ken, and Door-Ju. Furthermore, "Mr. Belt" on the Drive Driver can display various expressions using stickers!
