The 1/144 scale Gunpla 『HG (High Grade)』 series, which boasts the most diverse range of mobile suits and is produced by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," the "HG 1/144 Aerial Gundam Permet Score Six," scheduled for release in July 2023. This product will be exclusively sold on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The XVX-016 Aerial Gundam is a GUND-ARM type mobile suit developed by Shin Sei Development Corporation on Mercury. Its research and development were led by President Prospera, and it is piloted by her daughter, Suletta Mercury. Suletta has been with the Aerial Gundam's AI since childhood, considering it a family member. This mobile suit is equipped with armaments such as a beam saber, beam rifle, and shield. The shield can separate into 11 "GUND-Bits," which can be used as remote-controlled, all-range wireless weapons called "Funnels," or connected to various points on the body and the beam rifle to enhance mobility and firepower. Furthermore, when piloted by Suletta, it can activate a superhuman, high-level "Permet Score," unleashing inexplicable, rule-breaking abilities.
The "HG 1/144 Aerial Gundam Permet Score Six" being commercialized this time recreates the appearance of Suletta activating "Permet Score Six" during her duel with Shaddiq when she was in crisis. New IMD (In-Mold Decoration) molded parts and stickers are used to reproduce the glowing areas on the chest, head, back, shoulders, thighs, and other parts. The blue, yellow, and dark gray joint parts have also been changed to brighter metallic molded colors, expressing the reflective texture as if illuminated by a blue light.
Additionally, the product features new full-color box art and includes an exclusive display stand engraved with the anime title logo. Other parts are the same as the regular version, including armaments such as the beam rifle, beam saber hilt, beam saber effect, and shield. The shield can be disassembled into 11 GUND-Bits, which can be used as remote-controlled beam weapons (Funnels) or attached to various slots on the mobile suit to enhance its performance.
