Following the release of King-Ohger from the 'MINIPLA' assembly model candy toy series, produced by BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., the latest product from "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger," "Shugod Gattai Series 02 Legend Shugod," was recently announced for release on June 19, 2023.
This year's "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger" is set in a completely fictional fantasy world, depicting a thousand years ago when five heroes fought alongside the Shugod King-Ohger, defeating the evil empire "Underworld Empire Bugnarok" and protecting humanity, each establishing five distinct nations across the continent. However, 2000 years later, Bugnarok revives as prophesied and invades the human world once again, setting the stage for the story of four kings and one who is destined to become king. The Sentai robots in this series are insect-type mechanical lifeforms called "Shugods," which can combine into the giant robot "King-Ohger" to fight Bugnarok alongside the kings.
The second installment, "Shugod Gattai Series 02 Legend Shugod," includes the three legendary Shugods known as treasures in the show: God Kabuto, God Scorpion, and God Hopper. Similar to previous series, the parts are divided into two sets, and once collected, they can be assembled into the individual Shugods. The kit uses black and gold molded colors and stickers to recreate the cool color scheme from the show, and each features articulated joints for playability.

Furthermore, it can combine with the first installment's "King-Ohger" into multiple forms: God Kabuto combines with King-Ohger to form "Kabuto King-Ohger," wielding a giant cannon; God Scorpion combines with King-Ohger to form "Scorpion King-Ohger," utilizing massive claws; God Hopper combines with King-Ohger to form "Hopper King-Ohger," equipped with large chest armor. Finally, all 13 machines can grand combine to recreate the "Legend King-Ohger" as depicted in the opening sequence!
