TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the highly anticipated second release in its popular "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series, from the acclaimed work "Berserk": "S.H.Figuarts Griffith (Hawk of Light)". The suggested retail price is 14,850 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in October 2023!
Griffith—a man sworn to reach the pinnacle of his dreams, he is Guts' greatest nemesis in his quest for revenge, yet also his closest friend. Originally born into poverty, he pursued the grand dream of "owning his own country," and after years of effort, he formed the mercenary group "Band of the Hawk." Through his undefeated military achievements, he ascended to noble status. Just as he was about to attain the rank of "White Phoenix General," Guts' departure from the band caused his dramatic downfall. In despair, Griffith engaged in an affair with Princess Charlotte, leading to his disgrace. The fallen Griffith chose to summon the "Eclipse," sacrificing numerous members of the "Band of the Hawk" to gain a new form: Femto, the Dark Hawk, becoming the last of the five God Hand to appear.
The "S.H.Figuarts Griffith (Hawk of Light)" action figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. Its articulated body is sculpted from the skeletal structure up, allowing for natural movement while faithfully reproducing the original proportions. Both the armor and sword are finished with a metallic paint for a premium feel, and the abundant feather-like sculpt adds further depth. His fair skin, handsome face, and wavy white hair are all faithfully recreated, evoking a picturesque demeanor. It includes a helmet and an interchangeable face part with the helmet on. The included sword can also be displayed in both sheathed and unsheathed states.
The fabric cape features a texture reminiscent of the original work and can be freely posed thanks to an internal wire.
Accessories also include Griffith's indispensable steed. Its proportions faithfully reproduce the original work, with a leaner build than a typical horse. By using interchangeable rein parts, the horse can also be displayed independently.
