Following the first release, "Ryujinmaru," the 'HG Amplified IMGN' robot-themed model kit series, launched by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, today announced the second product from "Mashin Hero Wataru," "Kujinmaru," is currently under development. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
The 'HG Amplified IMGN' series, similar to the previous Figure-rise Standard Amplified series, expands the interpretation of characters with an "Amplified" theme. It grants them exaggerated designs that differ significantly from their original settings, while also incorporating the latest production techniques of the HG series and various original mechanisms.
This time, Kujinmaru, the bird-type Mashin piloted by "Uncle Bird" Watari Gaman from "Mashin Hero Wataru," has been redesigned. Compared to its original SD proportions, it now boasts a more realistic bird-like ratio, and its entire armor design has been revamped into a modern, high-density, multi-layered mechanical structure. It features cool, sharp lines and numerous articulated joints, which can be seen not only in the neck, wings, and thighs but also in the talons and the cannon barrels on both shoulders.
Furthermore, in the original series, Kujinmaru could grasp Ryujinmaru's back to combine into "Tenkuryujinmaru," which possessed flight capabilities. It is highly anticipated that the HG Amplified IMGN series has not forgotten this setting, and we can expect this Kujinmaru to hide an original flight backpack transformation mechanism, allowing it to combine with the separately sold Ryujinmaru!
