Released by BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, the Shokugan 'YUDO' series, based on the Tokusatsu series 'Super Sentai', recently announced the latest product from the Strategic Rescue Task Force for Unusual Incidents in the Five Kingdoms, abbreviated as 'Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger', the 'YUDO PB Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger Limited Color Edition', slated for release in January 2024. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
'Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger' is set in a completely fictional fantasy world. A thousand years ago, six heroes fought alongside the guardian deity King-Ohger, defeating the evil empire 'Underworld Empire Bugnarok' and protecting humanity. They each established five distinct nations across the continent, ushering in a long era of peace. However, 2000 years later, the Bugnarok have resurrected as prophesied and once again invade the human world. The current monarchs of each nation once again fight alongside their insectoid mechanical guardian deities.
The 'YUDO PB Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger Limited Color Edition' includes five articulated figures previously released in the YUDO series: Kuwagata Ohger, Tombo Ohger, Kamakiri Ohger, Papillon Ohger, and Hachi Ohger. Each character stands approximately 10 cm tall and boasts over 20 points of articulation. Accessories include interchangeable hand parts, the Ohger Calibur, and the Ohger Shield, allowing for recreation of battle scenes from the show.
Unlike the regular edition, not only do you not need to collect individual parts, but the overall number of pre-painted parts has also increased by 6 times. Many areas, including the helmets, the color blocks on the sides of the bodies, and the metallic colors of the Ohger Calibur and Ohger Shield, are now fully painted. Some unpainted plastic molded colors have also been adjusted to faithfully reproduce the suit designs from the show, presenting a luxurious color scheme distinct from the regular edition!
