Following the release of humorous products such as "Hitori Gotoh Sports Festival Delusion Ver." and "Hitori Gotoh Flatworm & Tsuchinoko" based on "Bocchi the Rock!", Japanese company ANIPLEX (アニプレックス) has recently announced its latest product: the "Hitori Gotoh Approval-Seeking Monster" (後藤ひとり 承認欲求モンスター) soft vinyl figure! It is scheduled for release in June 2024.
In "Bocchi the Rock!" anime episode 4, "Jumping Girl(s)", when Bocchi "Hitori Gotoh" was taking band promotional photos with the members of Kessoku Band, Nijika suggested she create a social media account. This caused Bocchi, who was already lying on the ground rambling, to have an even more severe meltdown. Her imaginary Tsuchinoko (野槌蛇) even transformed after coming into contact with that thing (referring to social media), giving birth to the colossal "Approval-Seeking Monster"! It was only when Kita shouted, "Forget about SNS!" that Bocchi snapped back to reality and continued the band photo shoot.
This "Hitori Gotoh Approval-Seeking Monster," produced by Sentinel, stands approximately 19.5 cm tall. It perfectly recreates Bocchi's rounded appearance, as if she's wearing a monster costume, the overall adorable yellow-green color scheme, and the monster eyes on the headpiece. Her super cute expression with tears, signature pink hair, and a thumbs-up gesture representing "Give me likes, more likes!" combine to create a truly hilarious and adorable figure!
