BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan has announced today the latest product from the theatrical film《Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM》, the "HG 1/144 Immortal Justice Gundam", from the 'HG (High Grade)' series, which offers the most diverse range of 1/144 scale Gunpla. It is scheduled for release on January 26, 2024.
Appearing in the theatrical film《Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM》, the Immortal Justice Gundam is a mobile suit designed using data from the Infinite Justice Gundam and incorporating the transformation mechanism of the MVF-M11C Murasame. It utilizes the same mobile suit frame as the Rising Freedom Gundam, and its appearance is closer to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam. This unit is primarily equipped with armaments such as a beam rifle and various close-combat beam weapons. The new shield possesses both offensive and defensive capabilities, able to deploy wings and beam blades to assault enemy mobile suits. Unlike previous tactics that required boarding a back support unit, this mobile suit possesses a mechanism to transform into its MA (Mobile Armor) form, allowing for high-mobility flight directly in MA form.
The "HG 1/144 Immortal Justice Gundam" is produced using Bandai's latest parts separation and color molding technology. The beam shield effect parts are made with polarized molding material that changes color depending on the viewing angle. It also features a movable joint design called the "SEED Action System", which utilizes multi-axis articulation and independently sliding hip joints on both sides to expand the range of motion for the neck, shoulders, and upper body, allowing for cool action poses characteristic of the SEED series.
Armaments include a new beam rifle, two beam boomerangs stored in the side skirts, beam blades that extend from the knees to the tips of the feet, and a new shield capable of deploying beam blades. Furthermore, by replacing some parts, the fighter-like MA form can be recreated.
