BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan, known for its highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series, today announced the latest product from the movie 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom': the 'HG 1/144 Black Knight Squad Rud-ro.A (Griffin Arbalest's Custom Machine)', scheduled for release on March 23, 2024.
The NOG-M4F Black Knight Squad Rud-ro.A series is a mobile suit developed by the emerging nation 'Foundation' for its Royal Guard members. Compared to the close-combat specialized commander's unit, the 'NOG-M1A1 Black Knight Squad Shi-ve.A', this series is equipped with versatile standard armaments such as a beam rifle, shield, and anti-ship sword. It also features the new generation 'FT Armor' which can significantly withstand beam attacks, and a 'Beam Cloak' that combines offensive and defensive capabilities. To compensate for insufficient firepower during solo operations, it deploys alongside unmanned units like the 'GINN-R' or 'DINN-R'.
The 'Black Knight Squad Rud-ro.A (Griffin Arbalest's Custom Machine)' is produced using Bandai's latest part separation and color molding technology, allowing for a significant reproduction of its in-show colors through the molded parts alone. The beam shield effect parts are made with a polarized molding material that changes color depending on the viewing angle. It also incorporates the 'SEED Action System' articulation design, utilizing multi-axis movable joints to expand the range of motion for the neck, shoulders, and upper body, enabling dynamic and cool action poses characteristic of the SEED series.
Its armaments include a shield, a beam rifle that can be mounted on the rear skirt armor, an anti-ship sword nearly the same length as the mobile suit itself, and its distinctive beam cloak is reproduced using soft plastic parts with gradient printing.
