Japanese model manufacturer Max Factory's plastic model kit brand 'PLAMAX' has collaborated with popular illustrator Tony on a new bishoujo plastic model kit series, 'Guilty Princess,' and recently announced that its latest product, 'Fairy Knight Princess Elfina,' is scheduled for release in May 2024.
Fairy Knight Princess Elfina can be considered the culmination of Tony's fantasy character designs from works such as the 'Shining Series.' Her design bears the resemblance of popular blonde fairies like Elwyn and Kirika from the Shining Series, while also incorporating the popular playstyle of an articulated body with interchangeable armaments. This allows Elfina's fairy wings to transform into multiple forms, and with various weapon accessories, she can achieve up to 5 different battle style modes.
The 'PLAMAX Fairy Knight Princess Elfina' is constructed from multi-colored molded parts, water-slide decals, and PVC pre-painted hand parts. Once assembled, the articulated Elfina stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating Tony's elegant physique while featuring flexible movable joints. Expression parts such as 'smiling face,' 'angry blushing face,' 'laughing face,' and 'closed-eye face' also utilize tampo printing to reproduce Tony's signature art style. Furthermore, unpainted expression parts and eye decals are included for custom expressions.
The armament accessories include various costume parts and four fantasy-themed weapons: 'Zephyr Baton' (Command Sword), 'Gale Edge' (Wind Blade Shield), 'Gale Edge' (Resonant Bow-Arrow Machine), and 'Sill Flute' (Sacred Wind Flute). Also included are magnificent fairy wings that can transform into armor. By swapping parts, Elfina can switch between five battle modes: [Fairy Mode (Forced Reconnaissance Type)], [Spirit Mode (Long-Range Combat Type)], [Princess Knight Mode (Close-Quarters Combat Type)], [Marching Mode (Group Combat Type)], and [Priestess Mode (Magic Combat Type)]!
