The Divine Demon Appears! Emerging British toy brand IconiQ Studios, in collaboration with Hong Kong's TBLeague and under official CAPCOM license, is launching a 1/6 scale articulated figure of the popular character Akuma from Street Fighter V! It is expected to be released between Q3 and Q4 of 2024, priced at US$299.
CAPCOM's flagship fighting game, Street Fighter, since its arcade debut in 1987, has almost become synonymous with fighting games, maintaining its enduring popularity. The character Akuma (Japanese name: Gouki, American name: Akuma), who first appeared in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, is the younger brother of Ryu and and Ken's master, Gouken. Wielding the Satsui no Hado, his strength is formidable.
This Akuma figure, produced by TBLeague and released by ICONIQ STUDIO, is also crafted in 1/6 scale. Its design primarily features Akuma's familiar standard appearance. The clothing he wears is made from tailored fabric, and combined with TBLeague's exclusive seamless muscular body, it achieves an exceptionally high degree of realism.
Regarding accessories, in addition to four sets of interchangeable hand parts and two sets of foot parts to accommodate various poses like Shoryuken and Hadoken, the effect parts are also quite comprehensive. These include effect parts for the Satsui no Hado emanating from both hands, as well as a Hadoken effect part with its stand, allowing for the Zanku Hadoken pose. Furthermore, Akuma's facial expressions are interchangeable, and his eyes and the "Shin" (神人) kanji on his back feature a special glow-in-the-dark effect. When displayed with the specially designed base, it looks incredibly magnificent.
