Japanese high-end model manufacturer CCP has announced its latest collaboration project with renowned Japanese sculptor Yoshi., 'CCP×Yoshi. Project'. The second release, the "EVA Mass Production Model" resin cast statue, has finally been unveiled! With a reference price of 34,980 JPY, pre-orders are now open on the CCP ONLINE SHOP, with an estimated release in mid-December 2023.
The 'CCP×Yoshi. Project' reinterprets characters with the unique and grotesque style of the genius sculptor Yoshi. The second release features a high-quality PS hard plastic model of the EVA Mass Production Model, depicted with its terrifying gaping maw from the theatrical film "Air". Standing approximately 23 cm tall, this model is based on a GK (Garage Kit) prototype previously designed by Yoshi., now officially commercialized and sold as a new model! While maintaining the silhouette of the EVA Mass Production Model, it is infused with Yoshi.'s alien, biological aesthetic. The outstretched wings are intricately carved with special patterns, creating an even more sinister and beautiful aura.
Diverging from the in-story scenes, the memorable transforming weapons are simultaneously held in its left and right hands, appearing as both a dual-bladed sword and a replica Lance of Longinus! Under the supervision of Yoshi.-sensei and Grand Works (グランドワークス), the paintwork achieves a crisp yet majestic feel, with multi-layered gradient painting emphasizing shadow expression.
A rich array of parts is included: wing parts, back parts, open-mouth head part, right arm (with dual-bladed sword), normal right arm, left arm (with replica Lance of Longinus), normal left arm, and normal head part. You can enjoy various poses and configurations, including fully unarmed, making it look as if it's ready to launch an attack on Unit-02 at any moment!
