SEGA PRIZE, a division of Japanese game company SEGA, announced yesterday (the 25th) the upcoming release of a new product from "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" in Spring 2024: the "Mimic Large Cushion" (tentative translation, ミミック 大きなクッション)! It's absolutely adorable.
The Japanese manga "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, tells the story of the elven mage Frieren, who journeys with the human hero Himmel, the dwarven warrior Eisen, and the human priest Heiter, after they return as heroes from a ten-year adventure. Frieren, an immortal elf who can live for thousands of years, perceives the passage of time differently from mortals. However, after experiencing the deaths and aging of her companions, she begins to deeply understand the impermanence of life and regrets not having truly understood others. With the passing of the hero Himmel as a turning point, Frieren embarks once again on a journey to experience the meaning of life and time.
In the anime, Frieren being bitten by a Mimic and unable to escape is a truly classic and memorable scene!
