The Danish LEGO toy company has recently released information on new products to be launched in 2024, and also revealed a gift with purchase that is sure to excite old fans: the set numbered 40601, "Majisto's Magical Workshop"!

This LEGO set can be seen as an updated version of the identically named set number 6048, "Majisto's Magical Workshop," released in 1993. It features 365 pieces. The architectural design retains the silhouette of the original version, including the red and black sloped roof, the trees on both sides, and the weapons hanging on the second floor, among others. However, the first-floor door has been updated; the new version features a more refined wooden door with a printed lock piece on top. Railings have also been added to the second floor. What might disappoint newer collectors, however, is that the blue dragon-shaped decorations on both sides above the main door have now been replaced with blue feathers.
Moving on to the minifigures, the blue-clad wizard is "Majisto," featuring the same updated design as seen in "10305 Lion Knights' Castle." He still has a plain blue body and a flowing white beard. The dragon-shaped emblem on the female soldier's torso piece is another major highlight that will evoke memories for old fans. If any collectors out there have kept their 6048 set well-preserved, they can pair the new female knight with the Dragon Knights from decades ago – how cool is that! With the addition of these official images, we can now see the exterior of the magical workshop when opened, as well as its interior layout. There's also what appears to be a magic scroll possibly placed in a treasure chest, though it looks like a sticker, not a printed brick!
