American toy manufacturer MEZCO TOYZ's 1/12 scale articulated figure brand "ONE:12 COLLECTIVE" officially announced today (the 9th) its latest product from DC Comics, the "The Joker: Golden Age Edition"! Expected to ship in June-August 2024.
This "Joker," brimming with retro charm, not only recreates his Golden Age purple suit and various exaggerated and comical props, but also faithfully preserves the unique sense of playfulness from that era's art style in its three-dimensional form. The head sculpt, with its incessant laughter, sunken cheeks, and thick lips, is absolutely brilliant! The pinstriped trousers also add richer detail to the strongly contrasting purple and green attire. Personally, I find every single head sculpt to be incredibly impressive, and I hope the final product matches the quality seen in the official images.
▼ Wow, that smile looks just like a happy old good guy (not!).
Accessories include a hat, a yellow belt with a Joker head sculpt belt buckle, a pop-out state belt buckle, a newspaper, a fake police badge, a green venom-shooting effect, and multiple interchangeable hands including one holding a joker card and one holding an electrified Joker Buzzer. The green display base, adorned with a joker card pattern and "The Joker" lettering, is also quite excellent!
