Japanese figure manufacturer SOL International is scheduled to release a 1/7 scale figure of the heroine "Raphtalia" (ラフタリア) from "The Rising of the Shield Hero" in her bikini armor version in April 2024, priced at 19,800 JPY.
"The Rising of the Shield Hero" (盾の勇者の成り上がり) is a web novel fantasy series created by Japanese novelist "Aneko Yusagi," which has since been adapted into manga and anime, with its third season currently airing. The story follows the protagonist, Naofumi Iwatani, a 20-year-old university student who, upon accidentally flipping through a book called "The Four Holy Weapons," is transported to another world and becomes the "Shield Hero." Upon his initial arrival in this new world, he is framed and, with no one to help him, purchases Raphtalia, who appears to be a young demi-human girl, from a slave trader, commanding her to fight for him. After initial training, Raphtalia matures from a young girl into a lady, comes to understand her master Naofumi's true nature, and declares her willingness to become Naofumi's sword, fighting and pledging loyalty to him forever.
This Raphtalia figure from SOL International stands approximately 23 cm tall. It presents Raphtalia, known for her professional swordswoman image, from an original perspective, clad in a specially designed bikini-style armor. Raphtalia's long, flowing demi-human hair retains its dynamic movement. Her attire departs from her usual heavy armor, with her upper body covered by silver-toned, bra-like armor, revealing the slave crest on her chest and her slender waist, paired with red ultra-short shorts. Her arm and leg armor are still present, maintaining a sense of combat readiness amidst the alluring design. A scabbard is tied at her waist, and she holds a sword in her right hand, captured in a seemingly running pose, which enhances the overall sense of action.
