Japanese company Aniplex (Aniplex Inc.) is set to release a new product based on the highly popular anime "Bocchi the Rock!", the "Hitori Gotoh" 1/7 scale figure! The suggested retail price is 22,000 JPY, with an anticipated release in December 2024.
"Bocchi the Rock!" (ぼっち・ざ・ろっく！), centered around the theme "If you're an introvert, play rock!", tells the story of "Hitori Gotoh," a high school girl with severe social anxiety and a school outcast. From a young age, she diligently practiced guitar, hoping to gain attention from her classmates and become a rock star! However, her gloomy and introverted personality, which made it difficult to interact with others, prevented her from forming a band. Instead, she transformed into "Guitar Hero" and posted guitar videos online until she met Nijika from Shimokitazawa High. Together with Ryo, Ikuyo, and others, they formed the "Kessoku Band," where she serves as the lead guitarist. Her bandmates affectionately nicknamed her "Bocchi."
The ANIPLEX+ "Hitori Gotoh" 1/7 scale figure, measuring approximately 23 cm tall including the base, brings Bocchi's spectacular on-stage performance to life in three dimensions. Her dynamic pose perfectly captures the energy of a live show, dressed in the Kessoku Band's uniform and a pleated skirt. The guitar in her hands is faithfully reproduced with intricate details. The base, inspired by the live house STARRY, is designed with a tilted angle, making the overall scene richer and more engaging. It also features stage lights and neon-style "Bocchi" (小孤獨/小波奇) lettering, further enhancing the world-building.
