Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's plastic model brand ACKS has announced today that the latest product from the Macross mecha girl plastic model 'V.F.G.' series, "VF-31A Kairos Makina Nakajima" from Macross Delta, is scheduled for release in April 2024.
'Variable Fighter Girl' is a plastic model series that combines transformable fighters from the Macross series with posable "VF Girl" female figures. The fighter body can replicate the three transformation stages from the anime, while the "VF Girl" figure boasts excellent articulation and can be posed in various ways with interchangeable expressions, hands, and accessories. Both can be enjoyed individually, or combined through an original transformation mechanism to form cool and cute mecha girl forms. This latest release features Makina Nakajima, a member of the musical tactical unit 'Walküre' from Macross Delta, along with the "VF-31A Kairos," the mass-produced main aircraft of the Chaos Ragna Branch's α, β, and γ squadrons.
The kit consists of multi-color molded parts, with Makina's expression parts and some body parts pre-painted. The completed Makina figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, her voluptuous figure clad in an original pink combat suit. It features flexible articulation at multiple points including the neck, chest, waist, and limbs. It comes with two pre-painted expressions, three unpainted expressions, various hand gestures, as well as accessories like a microphone and drone display stand to recreate her passionate stage performances. Additionally, it includes an airbrush, model nippers, and a chibi Walküre, allowing for the recreation of Makina's appearance from her official program 'Macross Modeler'!
The "VF-31A Kairos" body is based on previously released versions but has been modified. It features an original pink molded color that matches Makina's outfit and comes with a rich assortment of decals to recreate the color lines and markings on the aircraft. By swapping parts, it can transform into its FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID forms, and can also combine with the Makina figure to create an original mecha girl form!
