Yu-Gi-Oh! "S.H.MonsterArts Red-Eyes Black Dragon" Confirmed for Commercialization: Sharp Black Body with Flexible Articulation!

Following the first release, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, issued by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, today announced the confirmed commercialization of the second release from "Yu-Gi-Oh!", the "Red-Eyes Black Dragon". Detailed information is expected to be revealed at "JUMP FESTA 2024" in December.

The Dark Attribute, Level 7 Dragon-Type Monster Card, "Red-Eyes Black Dragon", as its name suggests, is a black flying dragon with a pair of red eyes. It can unleash the furious "Inferno Fire Blast" to incinerate enemies in its path. It is most famously known as Joey Wheeler's ace monster card in the anime "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters". While its 2400 ATK may not seem outstanding, it can fuse into various "Red-Eyes" monsters. When paired with a "Red-Eyes" themed deck, it can expand into flexible strategies, such as the Spell Card "Inferno Fire Blast" which allows Red-Eyes Black Dragon to inflict direct damage to the opponent's Life Points, "Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon" which can be Special Summoned with double ATK after being destroyed, and "Red-Eyes Soul" which can Special Summon "Red-Eyes" monsters from the Graveyard, among others. It's both cool and practical!

From the currently revealed prototype of the "S.H.MonsterArts Red-Eyes Black Dragon", one can see its jet-black body rendered in a semi-gloss black finish, meticulously sculpted with sharp claws, teeth, and carapace details. The head, neck, torso, tail, limbs, and wings all feature flexible articulation designed to conceal joint parts and incorporate precise part segmentation. It is expected to include effect parts for its signature move, "Inferno Fire Blast", similar to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
