The finished model series 'TINY SESSION' from the 'Macross' series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., recently announced the latest product from 'Macross 7', the "VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie with Basara Nekki", scheduled for release in April 2024.
The "VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie", which appeared in 'Macross 7', is a special experimental unit modified from the "YF-19 Excalibur" developed by Shinsei Industry as part of the New U.N. Spacy's "Project Super Nova". It was piloted by Basara Nekki, the lead vocalist of the band FIRE BOMBER, as part of the top-secret "Sound Force Project" to test the Sound Energy System. The entire unit is equipped only with defensive main wing laser cannons and leg micro-missile pods; its primary weapon is the "song" emitted from its giant speakers, and it can even fire special speaker warheads to force opponents to listen to music.
The "TINY SESSION VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie with Basara Nekki" features the Fire Valkyrie produced in a low-head SD (Super Deformed) proportion, and also includes a Q-version mini-figure of Basara Nekki. It boasts intricate sculpting and color application, recreating the Fire Valkyrie's distinctive lightning-bolt head lines, Basara's pigeon glasses, and electric guitar.
The Fire Valkyrie incorporates a transformation mechanism within its approximately 11 cm height. By replacing some parts (the head), it can recreate the three forms: FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID, and can be displayed with its dedicated stand. The cockpit canopy part features a detachable design, allowing the Basara figure to be placed in the cockpit, on the palm, or other locations to recreate his passionate singing pose!
