The popular assembly model shokugan series "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT", released by BANDAI CANDY, the shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from "Super Robot Wars OG", "Banpreios", is scheduled for release in April 2024.
First appearing in "Super Robot Wars Alpha 3", the SR-01 Banpreios is a successor unit developed from the SRX, classified as a Super Wide-Area Annihilation Type PT for Anti-Dimensional Invasion Routes. In Alpha 3, Banpreios did not possess a separation and combination mechanism. It had a larger body than the SRX and was equipped with many of the same, but enhanced, armaments as the SRX. The Psychodrive Dimensional Crossing System "XN Dimension", which the SRX was unable to achieve in the past, was officially completed in Banpreios, allowing it to perform dimensional and spatial transfers independently, thereby rescuing comrades trapped in other dimensions.
The "SMP Banpreios" is composed of over 900 multi-color molded parts, thoroughly recreating its appearance from the game's design drafts. As per its setting, it does not feature a separation and combination mechanism. When completed, it stands approximately 45 cm tall, making it even larger than the previously released SRX. The transparent visor on the head can be replaced with two types of sculpts: normal state and glowing eyes state. Its entire body features flexible articulation, allowing it to perform actions such as holding swords with both hands or kneeling on one knee.
Accessories include various hand sculpts, a dedicated display stand for the head sculpt, clear support stands, and a series of armaments. Effect parts can be used to recreate the firing of the "High-Performance Palm Beam Cannon" and the blade deployment of the "T-LINK Knuckle Sword". The "S.Z.O. Sword", which exceeds the length of the main body, boasts an impressive size of 47.5 cm. Its two side blades feature a deployment mechanism, allowing for the recreation of the cool pose when unleashing its special move, "Tenjou Tenge Nen-Dou Musou Ken: Ryuusei Zan".
Additionally, there is a connector to recreate the special move "Tenjou Tenge Ichigeki Hissatsu Hou Kai", which requires the separately sold "SMP R-GUN Powered".
