The popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts,' released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced its latest product from 'Ultraman,' 'Red King.' The suggested retail price is 9,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in April 2024!
The classic skull monster 'Red King' (レッドキング) from the 'Ultraman' series has appeared multiple times as a formidable foe. The original Red King first appeared in Episode 8 of the 'Ultraman' TV series, known as the monster with 'arms that tear the universe apart.' Its dinosaur-like appearance and fierce, sharp fangs convey its brutal and warlike nature. It possesses a strong physique and immense power, capable of lifting giant boulders, and uses its massive body, thick arms, and long tail as weapons to attack opponents.
The 'S.H.Figuarts Red King' stands approximately 16 cm tall. Under the thorough supervision of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, the suit has been meticulously scanned and reproduced, faithfully recreating Red King's unique protruding skin texture and rough feel. Blue shading paintwork is applied to achieve the in-show effect. It features pull-out hip joints, allowing for a wider range of articulation, such as recreating lunging poses. Additionally, a giant rock accessory is included, enabling fans to enjoy the impressive scene from the show where it lifts and throws a large stone!
