Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its popular alloy action figure series "Soul of Chogokin," has announced the latest product, the "Soul of Chogokin GX-108 Rhine X1 & GX-11R Dianan A" two-figure set, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Go Nagai's "Mazinger Z." The reference price is 19,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in May 2024.
Following "GX-08R Aphrodite A vs GX-09R Minerva X," the second female robot set features the "GX-108 Rhine X1," making its debut in the Soul of Chogokin series. While combining dreamy pink and delicate lines that showcase feminine charm, it utilizes a large amount of alloy to create heavily armored parts with a substantial feel. The distinctive whip-like ponytail on its head can be freely articulated via ball joints. The chest recreates Lorelei's face design, and its emotional changes can be enjoyed with interchangeable expression parts for a cold, expressionless face and an agitated face!
The "GX-11R Dianan A (Diana A)" included in the set features the vibrant colors and styling from the theatrical film "Mazinger Z vs. Devilman." The familiar missile launch mechanism on its chest is, of course, included, along with parts for its post-missile launch state. The head recreates the design of Sayaka Yumi's dedicated motorcycle, "Pilder," which can be separated from/combined with the head and is also fun to display on its own! The accessories for this set also include multiple interchangeable hands and a special display stand for the "Mazinger Z" 50th anniversary.
