The highly popular character model kit series "Figure-rise Standard", released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., finally completes the final puzzle piece of the "HEISEI RIDER PROJECT Beginning" with the announcement of its latest product from "Kamen Rider KIVA", "Kamen Rider KIVA KIVA Form", scheduled for release in April 2024.
Kamen Rider KIVA is the combat form worn by the protagonist, Wataru Kurenai, who, with the power of Kivat-bat the 3rd, activates the Demonic Emperor Power within his body and dons the KIVA armor. Normally, he can unleash powerful martial arts techniques, and can even use whistles to summon the powers of his three servants—Garulu (Werewolf), Basshaa (Merman), and Dogga (Frankenstein)—to change forms. This armor was originally created for the King of the Fangire, "Emperor KIVA", whose immensely powerful strength once annihilated the most malevolent demon race, the "Legendary Ogre," and even affected the lives of countless Fangire brethren. Consequently, several "Chains of Sealing" were used to restrict its power, resulting in the current "KIVA Form."
"Figure-rise Standard Kamen Rider KIVA KIVA Form" is constructed using multiple molded colors such as dark red, black, and more. The head, armor engravings, and belt all feature rich, intricate detailing. Silver parts are crafted with mirror polishing and EXTRA FINISH techniques to achieve a metallic texture. Furthermore, the armor and chains are separately molded, giving the design a more three-dimensional feel. In addition to recreating the six whistles on the belt, Kivat-bat the 3rd can be detached independently, spread its wings, and be displayed in a flying state using a stand.
The overall articulation design is also highly flexible. Specifically, T-shaped multi-axis movable joints are used at the waist and hip joints. This allows the waist exterior to move in conjunction with the thigh's movement, expanding the leg's range of motion to achieve deep kneeling poses, leg raises above the head, and more. By combining this with the unsealed right leg part, the pose for unleashing the special move "Darkness Moon Break" can be recreated!
