Fellow Toy People! Yes, we're back again. Toy People, in collaboration with designers from Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and other regions, is proud to present a lineup of limited-edition toys. This time, we're partnering with Toy People's friendly associate HOW2WORK and Japanese artist "Kohei Ogawa (おがわ こうへい)" to bring you the incredibly adorable "Daruman - Ootari! Ver."!
Teacher Kohei Ogawa, who has warmed the hearts of countless toy enthusiasts with his felted wool creations, later collaborated with HOW2WORK to release the art toy "NAUGHTY BOY" and became known to even more collectors through his classic character BGbear. During the 2023 New Year period, he introduced a brand-new character full of Japanese charm, "Mr. Daruma." This time, the "Daruman - Ootari! Ver." not only debuts in a fresh yellow hue, but the "大当り" (Ootari) characters printed on its body are sure to bring a smile. Ootari (おおあたり) in Japanese means "hitting the jackpot" or "great success," perfectly echoing the feelings of toy collectors every time they participate in a toy lottery.

In addition to the black "Ootari" characters, the design features an arrow hitting a red bullseye, and Daruman's eyes are rendered in red, representing Toy People. Its limbs maintain the usual gradient red paint application. Furthermore, Daruman's hands can rotate, allowing for playful poses! Not only does it offer a smooth, full tactile feel when held, but its size of approximately 18 cm also gives it a significant presence. It's super cute as a home decoration for 2024, especially when placed in a prosperity corner! Toy enthusiasts who love it shouldn't miss this "Daruman - Ootari! Ver.," which might just house the god of toy lotteries.
