BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division of Japan, which issues the original plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES MISSIONS" known for its quick assembly, easy customization, and full display of mass-produced machine charm, recently announced the latest product, "1/144 eEXM-9 Baskyrott [Brown]", scheduled for release in June 2024.
The newly designed unit eEXM-9 Baskyrott, by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, is set within the "30 MINUTES MISSIONS" series as an older model EXAMACS previously operated by the Earth Alliance Army. Compared to other units from the same faction, it boasts a wider and heavier frame, and is equipped with a large rifle and large shield commensurate with its size.
The kit contents of the "30MM 1/144 eEXM-9 Baskyrott [Brown]" are essentially the same as the Gray Unit released in April, the only difference being the change in part molding color, creating a desert camouflage scheme with brown and sand-yellow armor parts. The kit continues the series' features of easy assembly, high expandability, and interchangeability. Its relatively simplified structure allows even beginners to quickly complete a cool unit.
The Baskyrott series units are specifically enhanced for expandability, featuring the largest number of 3mm expansion ports in the series' history across its entire body, including numerous expansion ports and pivot bases on the torso, limbs, and shield. Furthermore, two support arms can be deployed from the sides of the backpack, allowing for customization with 30MM series weapon parts. Additionally, the articulation allows for a natural high-kneeling pose, and accessories include the newly designed support robot "Roy-Roy", which can be disassembled to become replacement head parts for the Baskyrott.
