Japanese toy company RE-MENT, known for creating exquisite accessories and miniature models, announced several new products yesterday (the 10th). Among the new lineup, a product from the national anime "Crayon Shin-chan" appeared, named "Running! Shin-chan Movie Scene Collection" (tentative translation, 走る！しんちゃんムービーコレクション) box toy! It is scheduled for release on April 22, 2024.
This collection of famous scenes combines a three-dimensional figure of Shinnosuke, a movie ticket-style base, and an acrylic standee created based on movie scenes. It features six theatrical anime films: 1996's "Crayon Shin-chan: Great Adventure in Henderland," 1997's "Crayon Shin-chan: Pursuit of the Dark Tama Tama," 2000's "Crayon Shin-chan: Jungle That Invites Storm," 2001's "Crayon Shin-chan: Fierceness That Invites Storm! The Adult Empire Strikes Back," 2003's "Crayon Shin-chan: Fierceness That Invites Storm! Yakiniku Road of Glory," and 2021's "Crayon Shin-chan: Shrouded in Mystery! The Flowers of Tenkazu Academy."
In addition to Shinnosuke with various expressions, Himawari also makes an appearance, cutely perched on her brother's head as he does his "butt walk"! The film reel-style and movie title standees greatly enhance the thematic feel. And Shin-chan, constantly running and always striving to save Kasukabe, is quite touching~ This completely mirrors my own growth journey as an editor~ I've truly watched it from childhood to adulthood, so I absolutely must buy it.
