Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA), a Japanese toy company, today announced that the latest unit in its popular Bishoujo plastic model kit series "Frame Arms Girl", "Hresvelgr=CORNIX", a new member of the Hresvelgr family, is scheduled for release in June 2024.
The highly popular Frame Arms Girl "Hresvelgr" series is the bishoujo-fication of the transformable Frame Arms unit "NSG-X1 Hresvelgr" designed by Tomotake Kinoshita, reimagined by illustrator Eiji Komatsu. It has been released in various specifications such as original, Ater, Rufina, and Invert, developing unique weapon systems from the same base body, with even the personalities of different individuals varying. This new unit, "Hresvelgr=CORNIX", features not only changes in hairstyle and color but also new weaponry: "Wing Scythes".
"Frame Arms Girl Hresvelgr=CORNIX" is based on a modified version of the Hresvelgr series' base body, featuring pull-out shoulder joints, movable upper arm axes, sliding hip joints, and newly designed pull-out thigh joints, significantly enhancing the base body's range of motion. New hair parts are used to recreate the character's black and white twin-tail hairstyle. It comes with three pre-painted facial expressions (normal face, smirking face, surprised face), four types of front hair parts, and five pairs of PVC interchangeable hand parts. Unpainted parts can also be used with the included water-slide decals to create custom expressions.
Continuing the series' design style, Hresvelgr=CORNIX can also transform into three forms—Normal Mode, Assault Mode, and Flight Vehicle Mode—by reassembling parts using the universal 3mm connection points throughout the body. The newly produced "Wing Scythes" weapons, along with all transparent parts on the body, utilize a unique clear green color scheme. The two scythes can be combined into forms such as a bow or a double-bladed weapon, and they function as wings in Flight Mode.
