From Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's mechanical-themed brand MECHA SMILE, the completed combination toy series 'THE GATTAI' today announced the latest product from the tokusatsu series "Denkou Choujin Gridman", "THE GATTAI Combined Dragon Emperor Gridman Sigma", scheduled for release in October 2024.
Gridman Sigma (∑) only appeared in "Denkou Choujin Gridman: The Demon King's Counterattack", a sequel serialized in magazines with illustrations and text. In the story, the new Demon King NEO Kahn Digifer's controlled monsters put Gridman in a tough spot. At this moment, the new hero Gridman Sigma appeared to rescue him, and the two teamed up to fight the new threat. Gridman Sigma is set as Gridman's younger brother, and the one who merges with Gridman Sigma is the former villain Takeshi Todo, who once created countless monsters. After accepting the friendship of Naoto Sho and others, he reformed and became a partner for justice.
"THE GATTAI Combined Dragon Emperor Gridman Sigma" is based on the previously released Denkou Choujin Gridman from 'THE GATTAI' series, modified with new head and arm parts and new colors to recreate its in-show appearance. Standing at 17 cm tall, it features joint designs that offer both strength and a wide range of articulation. It also includes the same ankle extension and connection pegs for combination as Gridman, allowing it to combine with the separately sold "Thunder Gridman" and "Dragon Emperor Gridman" to recreate various forms. However, the feather ornaments on both sides of the head must be removed during combination.
