Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "TINY SESSION" series of finished models from the Macross series today announced the latest product from Macross Plus, "YF-19 Excalibur (Isamu Dyson's Machine) with Myung Fang Lone," scheduled for release in August 2024.
"TINY SESSION" redesigns the cool variable fighters from the Macross series into adorable SD proportions. Although the overall size is within 10 cm, it features a precise and sophisticated transformation mechanism. By replacing some parts, it can reproduce the three transformation stages of FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID as per the settings. Each joint also has a certain range of articulation, allowing for dynamic posing with the included weapons. Additionally, it includes 3 cm tall mini Q-version figures of popular female characters from each work, which can be displayed on the fighter to recreate scenes from the series.
This product features the famous machine "YF-19 Excalibur" piloted by the protagonist Isamu Dyson, and the heroine Myung Fang Lone, rendered in cute, low-head SD proportions. The fuselage not only reproduces the distinctive head sculpt, armor contours, and colors of the head, shoulders, and wings of the YF-19, but also features an elaborate articulation mechanism, with a detachable cockpit canopy. By replacing some parts, it can reproduce the three transformation stages of FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID. In BATTROID mode, an auxiliary part allows the Myung Fang Lone figure to be placed in its palm.
