Just yesterday, we introduced new merchandise from the powerful collaboration between two major 80s toy IPs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Masters of the Universe. Today, even more exciting collaboration news has emerged! Hasbro, the renowned American toy manufacturer, will be collaborating with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to release a crossover product from its immensely popular Transformers series—"Transformers x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Wallop" (tentative translation), slated for release in July 2024!
Two major events occurred in 1984: the premiere of the first generation Transformers cartoon and the release of the first issue of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles independent comic. Both IPs subsequently became indispensable symbols and benchmarks in American popular culture. Adaptations across comics, animation, and films continue ceaselessly to this day, serving as symbols of cherished childhoods for several generations of toy enthusiasts. And this time, they will unite to bring us an entirely new experience!
For this release, Hasbro has taken the classic vehicle from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series—the "Party Wagon"—as its prototype, combining it with Transformers' transformation mechanism and the designs of the four Ninja Turtles characters to create the brand-new product, "Party Wallop." The product stands approximately 17.5 cm tall. The overall design, in the beige and green colors of the Party Wagon, presents a Transformers-esque version of the Ninja Turtles. It can switch between Party Wagon and robot modes in approximately 20 steps. It also includes the four characters' exclusive weapons: katana, sai, nunchaku, and bo staff. When not in use, these can be stored in various parts of the figure. Along with four included interchangeable turtle eye masks, this allows collectors to decide which Turtle's form this dream crossover Party Wallop will take!
