BANDAI CANDY, the shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product in its popular Pokémon shokugan series, "POKEMON SCALE WORLD," featuring "Paldea Region Rika & Clodsire," slated for release in July 2024.
Rika is one of the Paldea League's Elite Four, specializing in Ground-type Pokémon. In the game, she chooses the adorable Clodsire as her signature Pokémon. While Rika usually displays an extremely friendly and approachable demeanor, she becomes utterly serious and diligent when working. Her stern, bespectacled appearance during player interviews at the League building is particularly memorable. However, the true reason for her soaring popularity lies in her exceptionally striking androgynous appearance and cool masculine attire, which is highly beloved by Japanese "Yumejoshi" (dream girls).
The "POKEMON SCALE WORLD Paldea Region Rika & Clodsire" set is also produced in the series' consistent 1/20 scale. It meticulously recreates Rika's cool appearance and characteristic suspender outfit from the game. The large and plump Clodsire has a substantial presence, with paintwork faithfully reproducing its cute facial features, chocolate-drizzled color layering, and the six spots on its back. By presenting humans and Pokémon in the same scale, the set allows for the enjoyment of a charming miniature world that highlights their size differences.
