Renowned poster design and toy company MONDO, alongside the previously announced "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Godzilla," has unveiled a new product based on the film "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," which premiered yesterday (27th) – the "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Kong" soft vinyl toy. With a suggested retail price of US$190 and a global limited edition of 400 units, it will be available for pre-order on the MONDO official website at noon CT on March 28th, alongside Godzilla. Shipping is estimated for November 2024!
In the previous film, "Godzilla vs. Kong," Kong had to fight with all his might in his initial encounters with Godzilla just to contend. This time, in the full trailer, we can see that Kong will be equipped with yellow mechanical gauntlets crafted by humans, allowing him to unleash technologically enhanced iron fists and significantly boost his combat power!
Like Godzilla, this piece is also an extension of MONDO Creative Director Hector Arce's Godzilla soft vinyl series, inspired by classic Japanese kaiju soft vinyl figures. Kong's abdomen and fur are painted with the same vibrant red and blue metallic paint as Godzilla, while metallic yellow highlights his sharp eyes, teeth, chest scar, and the mechanical gauntlets, which are a key feature of this design. The arms feature a swappable design, allowing collectors to choose between regular arms and mechanical gauntlet arms. The accessory also includes Kong's axe weapon from the previous film, similarly painted with the series' signature red, blue, and yellow metallic colors. The high-quality, eye-catching design combined with the accessories makes this Kong figure incredibly cool while offering a significant degree of playability!
