Sentinel International Co., Ltd.'s latest series, 'FIGURE MUSEUM,' has announced its newest product from the TV anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 1: Phantom Blood": the "Jonathan Joestar & Dio" 1/8 scale pre-painted figure! The suggested retail price is 19,800 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2024.
Hirohiko Araki's manga series "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Part 1, "Phantom Blood," is set in late 19th-century England. It tells the story of the aristocratic Joestar family adopting Dio Brando (DIO) as their son due to a misunderstanding. However, DIO attempts to murder his adoptive father George to seize his fortune and relentlessly persecutes George's son, Jonathan Joestar (JOJO), kissing Jonathan's first love Erina, killing his beloved dog... and even donning the Joestar family's collected "Stone Mask" to transform into a vampire. Ultimately, to defeat Dio, Jonathan sacrifices himself, taking Dio with him to their demise, sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
The bond between JOJO and DIO begins here! The "Sentinel FIGURE MUSEUM Jonathan Joestar & Dio" 1/8 scale pre-painted figure is based on their final battle scene on the ship, immortalizing the classic moment where JOJO holds DIO's head, and they perish together! Standing approximately 11 cm tall, the figure meticulously recreates the wounds on Jonathan's neck and the back of his hand where DIO pierced him, as well as the battle scars on his body. Upholding his gentlemanly will until his dying breath, he tightly embraces DIO... Through the gaps between his fingers, DIO's ferocious expression can be seen!
The gear-shaped design of the base allows for interlocking combinations, hinting at the strange gears of fate beginning to turn... There's a possibility for more products in this series to be released in the future! The exclusive bonus for purchases made at the Sentinel Store is an interchangeable head for Jonathan, depicting him with a gentle smile in his final moments, uttering his last words, "Be... happy... Erina" *sniffle* *sniffle* *sniffle* *sniffle* *sniffle*~
