The Conqueror descends! Japanese toy manufacturer MEDICOM TOY's new soft vinyl figure series, 「LEGEND VINYL WARRIORS」, will release its second character from the classic work 《Fist of the North Star》: 「The Conqueror of the Century's End」 Raoh (ラオウ)! It is scheduled for release in July 2024, priced at 16,500 Japanese Yen.
The work 《Fist of the North Star》 is undoubtedly a household name, and the image of its protagonist, Kenshiro, is what many boys aspired to be in their childhood. And the famous line, 「My life, I have no regrets!」 (わが生涯に一片の悔いなし!!), is well-known to everyone, coming from the original work's great antagonist, 「The Conqueror of the Century's End」 Raoh, the King of Fists.
Raoh was born in the Land of Shura, and along with Toki, Jagi, and Kenshiro, was a disciple of Ryuken, the master of Hokuto Shinken. Because Hokuto Shinken was passed down solely to Kenshiro, Raoh killed his master Ryuken, declared himself the 「King of Fists」, and began to aim for the heavens, actively recruiting soldiers and attempting to achieve his dominion in his own way. Just as he was about to unify the world, Kenshiro, to save the people, finally defeated Raoh after countless hardships. Raoh, after uttering his famous last words, raised his hand to the sky and died a magnificent death.
This Raoh figure, released by MEDICOM TOY, is the second product in the 「Fist of the North Star LEGEND VINYL WARRIORS」 series, following the first release, Rei. It stands approximately 26 cm tall, depicting him without his helmet, clad in armor but without a cape. His arms and waist are rotatable. Fans of Fist of the North Star may want to consider this.
