GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese figure manufacturer, recently announced the latest product from its Q-version, low-head-to-body ratio articulated figure series, 'Nendoroid Doll': '2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B)' from 'NieR:Automata Ver1.1a', scheduled for release in October 2024.
One of the three android protagonists, 'YoRHa No.2 Type B' is a combat android belonging to the Bunker, skilled in close-range weapons such as katanas and spears, and capable of long-range attacks via her Pod. She is a calm and collected soldier, speaking with little emotion and avoiding unnecessary conversation outside of mission requirements, strictly adhering to the YoRHa android principle of not possessing emotions. However, as the game's story progresses, players gradually perceive 2B's increasingly human-like impulses, sincerity, and gentle, considerate side.
The 'Nendoroid Doll 2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B)' is produced based on the anime's design, featuring a more articulated body with a higher head-to-body ratio and more joints than standard Nendoroid products. Her characteristic Gothic Lolita style dress is meticulously crafted from fabric, delicately reproducing details such as the hollow design on the chest and the elaborate embroidery on the skirt. Once dressed, the figure can be posed in dynamic combat stances with her weapon 'Virtuous Contract' and various interchangeable hand parts. The head uses a common specification compatible with Nendoroid parts, allowing for the optional attachment or removal of the separately sold Nendoroid visor part.
