Emerging Chinese toy brand GILGALTOYS has announced a new product based on the 1993 version of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" – the "Power Rangers Dino Megazord" die-cast articulated figure. It has a suggested retail price of US$699.99 and is expected to be released in Q3 2025!
In 1993, businessman Haim Saban introduced Toei Company's 1992 Super Sentai series "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger" to the Western market. To appeal to Western audiences, Saban Entertainment utilized the Japanese tokusatsu footage, reshooting and replacing the scenes featuring the actors' faces, adapting it into the original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." It became an instant sensation upon broadcast, and subsequent generations of Super Sentai series were introduced in the same manner.
This Dino Megazord (translated as "Daizyujin" in the Japanese version) is officially licensed by Hasbro and crafted from die-cast metal, reaching an astonishing height of 50 cm! In the show, the Dino Megazord is formed by the combination of the Tyrannosaurus Battlezord, Mastodon Battlezord, Triceratops Battlezord, Sabertooth Tiger Battlezord, and Pterodactyl Battlezord. While this product currently does not appear to feature a mechanism to separate the five individual Zords, this design choice allows for exceptional articulation, making it easy to recreate various combat poses of the Dino Megazord!
Accessories include the Mastodon Shield and the Dino Megazord's Power Sword, two pairs of interchangeable hands, five Power Rangers mini-figures, and a display base. The Dino Megazord's eyes, shoulders, back cannon, arms, legs, and the Mastodon Shield all feature light-up functions. The base also boasts a mechanical support structure design, showcasing the Dino Megazord's powerful presence with its immense size and intricate detailing!
