Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) toy company, under its "BISHOUJO Series" in collaboration with illustrator Shunya Yamashita (山下しゅんや), will release a new Marvel Comics-themed product to celebrate its upcoming 15th anniversary: the "MARVEL UNIVERSE Invisible Woman Ultimate" 1/6 scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 27,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in October 2024!
Invisible Woman, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, whose real name is Susan Storm, is a member of the Marvel superhero team Fantastic Four, the lover of Mister Fantastic Reed Richards, and the older sister of Human Torch. She possesses the ability to control light waves and make herself and others invisible. In the new "Fantastic Four" movie, Invisible Woman will be portrayed by actress Vanessa Kirby!
The BISHOUJO Series previously released "MARVEL BISHOUJO Invisible Woman" in 2011. This new product stands at a total height of 31 cm and is a completely new sculpt based on the same illustration as the 2011 version. The 1/6 scale is larger and more detailed than the 2011 version, more accurately recreating Invisible Woman's image from Shunya Yamashita's illustrations. This piece once again uses spray painting on transparent PVC parts to depict the gradual transparency effect on her fingertips, hair ends, and feet when Invisible Woman uses her powers. The base has been refined, retaining and re-sculpting only the light wave control effect parts, allowing collectors to focus on appreciating the charm of Invisible Woman's BISHOUJO appearance!
