Following "Hinata Shoyo" and "Kageyama Tobio," Megahouse's "G.E.M." series, which brings numerous anime and manga characters to life, is once again releasing a new product from its "Palm-Sized (Tenohira)" line based on the popular anime "Haikyuu!!" – the "Kozume Kenma" palm-sized figure. It has a suggested retail price of 7,920 JPY and is scheduled for release in late September 2024!
"Haikyuu!!" is a volleyball-themed anime and manga series originally created by Japanese manga artist Haruichi Furudate and adapted by Japanese animation studio Production I.G. The recently released second theatrical film in the series, "Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle," marked the first time the series hit the big screen in Taiwan, sparking a "Haikyuu!!" craze! The highly popular character Kozume Kenma belongs to the Nekoma High School volleyball club in the story, serving as the team's setter. Due to his keen observation and prediction abilities, he acts as the "brain" of the team, directing the other players who serve as the "blood."
This Kozume Kenma palm-sized figure faithfully recreates Kenma's appearance in his Nekoma High School volleyball uniform, depicting him in a relaxed pose with one leg raised, his chin resting on his right hand placed on his knee, and his left hand holding the volleyball between his feet. The paintwork meticulously reproduces Kenma's "pudding head" hairstyle and enhances the shading on his uniform. The figure is crafted to be palm-sized, allowing Kenma to rest comfortably in the hands of collectors!
The official channels have also announced on social media that two other popular characters, "Kuroo Tetsuro" and "Oikawa Tooru," will be joining this series soon, which is incredibly exciting!
