The EVANGELION EVA-08γ, piloted by Mari Illustrious Makinami, is officially named "General-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Weapon Artificial Human EVANGELION Super-Extreme Space Application Special Equipment Additional Possible Type EVA-08γ Temporary Arm Reinforcement Specification." Compared to the "EVA-08β Temporary Battle Form" seen in the opening Paris scene, where mechanical arms served as prosthetics, the EVA-08γ's arms have been largely repaired.
