It's finally here! Today (19th), Japanese game company SEGA released a new product announcement, revealing that their popular SEGA Prize "Luminasta" series will launch a long-awaited product based on the hit anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" – "Frieren in Mimic" (tentative title). It is scheduled to be released as a prize figure in autumn 2024!
In the series, when the hero Himmel and his party recall their various journey experiences, they mention that Frieren is always tricked by mimics (ミミック). This setting continues throughout Frieren's solo journey and her travels with Fern. From the single image currently released, we can see that this "Luminasta Frieren in Mimic" faithfully recreates the iconic scene where Frieren's head is bitten by a mimic. The detailed paintwork captures the mimic's weathered effect and yellowed teeth, and also reproduces the small section of Frieren's twin tails and lower body details that are exposed. Even through the screen, one can almost hear her shouting, "It's so dark!! It's so scary!!"
