To commemorate the upcoming 'SMP UNION' special exhibition for its SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT] series, held by Bandai Candy, the confectionery toy division of Bandai Co., Ltd., on July 28, 2024, at Wonder Festival 2024 [Summer], the latest commemorative product from 'Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger,' the 'Evolving Gattai Daizyujin Clear Color Ver.,' was announced today. This product will only be available for pre-order on PREMIUM BANDAI and for limited sale at the event booth on the day of the exhibition.
Daizyujin is a colossal robot formed by the combination of five machines: Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl. In the American 'Power Rangers' adaptation, it was merely a regular machine powered by solar energy. However, in the original 'Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger,' Daizyujin is a guardian deity with its own consciousness, capable of fighting independently without the Zyurangers' control and able to manifest various miraculous phenomena. Its weapon is the 'Dinosaur Sword God Horn,' which descends from the heavens, allowing it to unleash the powerful special move 'Super Legendary Lightning Cut.'
The 'SMP Evolving Gattai Daizyujin Clear Color Ver.' is a modified version of the previously released SUPER MINIPLA edition. The overall color scheme has been changed to a clear palette, with most of the molded parts, including red, black, blue, yellow, and white, now featuring transparent colors. The 'Dinosaur Sword God Horn' and 'Mastodon Shield' are crafted from silver and gunmetal-colored molded parts, respectively. Additionally, the set includes stickers to enhance the sparkling texture.
Similar to the regular version, the five machines—Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl—each possess articulation for individual play. They can also recreate combined forms such as 'Daizyujin' and 'Beast Tank Dino Tank' by swapping certain parts.
