The Danish LEGO toy company's original dream-themed design series "LEGO DREAMZzz," following the three new sets 71484, 71485, and 71478, officially announced five subsequent new DREAMZzz products yesterday (24th)! The set numbers are 71479, 71480, 71481, 71483, and 71486, and they are expected to be released on August 1, 2024.
"LEGO DREAMZzz" is an original theme that took five years to develop, with approximately 23,000 children and 7,000 consumers participating in research and surveys. Tommy Andreasen and Tommy Kalmar of the LEGO Group delved into the study of dreams and sleep over five years, and the final result is this DREAMZzz LEGO series that can present two worlds: "waking reality" and "fantasy dreamland"! The main storyline tells of characters like Izzie, Mateo, Cooper, and others embarking on a series of extraordinary adventures in the "Dream World," using their imagination to defeat the "Nightmare King." The LEGO Group also hopes that this building block series will help children subconsciously overcome the problem of nightmares.
Tommy Andreasen and Tommy Kalmar are also the showrunners for "LEGO Ninjago."
▼ "LEGO DREAMZzz" also produced animations that allow players to better enter the fantasy world and deeply understand each character, allowing adults to watch with children, and after watching, they can go out and buy LEGO sets to play at home – truly brilliant! The second season of the DREAMZzz animated series "Trials of the Dream Chasers" will begin airing on May 17th.
Among these new products are mostly fantastic creatures imagined in the Dream World, including a cat motorcycle, the mighty panda warrior "Logan," Izzie's dream animals, and nightmare creatures belonging to the villainous Never Witch faction. Their dark color scheme, combined with designs that can transform into three forms – raven, robot, and hungry wolf – is incredibly cool! Of course, the other three sets also have their own building options and diverse playability. Set number 71486 is the only playset, a golden castle with 1742 pieces. In addition to retaining the series' consistent vibrant color schemes, detailed minifigure printing, and other advantages, these new products also feature attractive elements such as a raven with gradient painting, Izzie's mini-doll, and unique printed pieces that recreate in-show props.
