Japanese toy brand ELECTRIC TOYS, which has already released several Rockman soft vinyl toys, and its new brand specializing in soft vinyl figures, "SOFVIPS" (ソフビップス), is set to release a new color version of the Rockman soft vinyl toy in October 2024. This time, the "Star Crash" color version will be launched, priced at 9,350 JPY.
Supported by countless players worldwide, "Rockman" (Mega Man), released by CAPCOM in December 1987 on the Nintendo Famicom, featured a remarkably rare non-linear stage selection gameplay. The protagonist, Rockman, could acquire weapons by defeating bosses. The game introduced weapon weakness elements, and discovering these rules was also a major selling point. After its release, the game garnered significant praise, and its sequel, "Rockman 2," went on to sell over a million copies.

This new color version of the Rockman soft vinyl toy from Electric Toys' SOFVIPS features an earth-tone and yellow color scheme, directly inspired by "Starman," a boss from "Rockman 5." The soft vinyl figure stands 17 cm tall, identical to the previous regular version. The soles of its feet bear CAPCOM's official certification engraving. Rockman's signature weapon, the "Rock Buster," and his hands can be swapped using interchangeable parts.
