The assembly model candy toy "MINIPLA" series, released by BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., recently announced the latest product from "Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger", "Kyoryujin Dark ver. & Stegotchi & Dricera", scheduled for release in October 2024.
The giant robot Kyoryujin, utilized by Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, is a Zyuden Giant formed by the combination of three Zyudenryu: Gabutyra, Stegotchi, and Dricera. It can attack using the shield equipped on its right arm and the drill mounted on its left arm, while Gabutyra's head on its shoulder can gather energy to unleash special moves. Recently, Kyoryujin also reappeared in a collaborative episode with the latest series, "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger", where Gabutyra became the King-Ohger's newest ally, able to combine with the other four Shugods to form "King Kyoryujin" in place of the incapacitated God Kuwagata, and recreate its signature samba dance.
This product set includes five machines: the dark-colored versions "Dark Gabutyra", "Dark Stegotchi", and "Dark Dricera", as well as the regular-colored versions "Stegotchi" and "Dricera". Dark Gabutyra is made with completely new parts, identical to the regular-colored Gabutyra in "MINIPLA King Kyoryujin". It features modern standard precise color separation and part division design, recreating its cool appearance, high-density details, and transformation/combination mechanisms with numerous parts. When combined with the partially redesigned "Dark Stegotchi" and "Dark Dricera", it can recreate Dark Kyoryujin. After combination, the newly designed body provides extremely flexible articulation, and the face parts are pre-painted, significantly enhancing the overall completeness compared to the 2013 version.
The regular-colored "Stegotchi" and "Dricera" also adopt the same design as their dark versions, with new parts added to Stegotchi's head, limbs, and dorsal plates for yellow color separation. Dricera, meanwhile, recreates the black, yellow, and silver color separation of its horns and drill tail. Compared to the 2013 version, the overall sculpt has significantly evolved, allowing combination with the separately sold Gabutyra from "MINIPLA King Kyoryujin" to form the regular-colored Kyoryujin!
